Britain's biggest provincial art fair returns to Gloucestershire this April 2024, as Fresh: Art Fair brings 50 galleries exhibiting work from 500 UK and international artists to Cheltenham Racecourse.
Spanning paintings, prints, photography, sculpture, ceramics and glass, the event features famous names like Hockney, Lichtenstein, Picasso, Bacon, Matisse and Miró exhibiting alongside the most exciting new talent.
Making art accessible for everyone, from established collectors to art lovers just starting out, prices range from as little as £50 up to £30,000 and more, with pieces for every budget. There's also an outdoor sculpture park, licensed cafes and free parking throughout the weekend.
With exclusive use of the racecourse from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 April 2024, the festival aims to bring art to life with a programme of workshops, demonstrations and new for 2024, a 'living art' performance inspired by a life-sized painting by celebrated Cotswold artist, PJ Crook.
Little art lovers will also be able to take part in drop-in workshops with author and illustrator, Tracy Spiers; and try their hand at watercolour painting with a workshop from Martin Bowden on the Friday that's suitable for all ages.
The event kicks off with the Private View on Thursday 25 April 2024, where visitors will get first pick of this year's collection while enjoying a free glass of wine or two.
Friday at Fresh: Art Fair is free to attend, while weekend tickets, which give art lovers the freedom to return as many times as they’d like for the duration of the fair, cost from £6 each. Private View tickets cost from £10 each and also allow visitors to return to the fair throughout the weekend.
For the very best value, half price early bird tickets are available until Sunday 31 March 2024.
