Presenting the UK premiere of paintings by some of Kenya’s young artists, Wallworks online gallery has curated a must-see exhibition, with all the proceeds from the sale of the artworks going to charity.

Showcasing a collection of acrylic paintings by artists aged between 13 and 26, the artists are from Kibera – Africa’s largest urban slum. The exhibition will take place on Wednesday 19 December 2018, with a private view on Tuesday 18 December 2018.

The exhibition is a collaboration between WallWorks and the Uweza Foundation, which empowers young people in Kibera to pursue a path to a better future through the development of their talents and abilities.

Reflecting the ethos of the Uweza Foundation, WallWorks will also collaborate with Gloucestershire based, The Colour Club, to offer art activities for pre-school and primary-aged children on Wednesday 19 December. More information can be found on WallWorks’ website.

Promising a vibrant and moving exhibition, the pieces on show will also be available to purchase for affordable prices.
