Explore masterful use of light, space, sound, scale, movement and technology when award-winning art collective Squidsoup brings its free immersive art installation — Subermergence — to Gloucester.
Presented at Gloucester Cathedral in 2020, Submergence is back by popular demand for those across Gloucestershire to experience once again.
This time taking place at Eastgate Shopping Centre from Wednesday 7 to Saturday 31 August 2024, the exhibition offers a highly sensory, open space for families to come together.
Visitors are invited to play and explore within the installation, to touch the lights, to make lots of noise, lie or sit down, lose yourself and become completely absorbed.
Supported by Arts Council England, Gloucester BID and The University of Plymouth, there will also be a series of specialist workshops, play sessions, and special events involving music and movement as part of the Submergence Gloucester programme with Vilk Collective, Bleephaus, The Music Works, GARAS and more.
This event is free of charge and opening hours outside of workshops are not ticketed.
