A unique show that promises to deliver joyful entertainment in Gloucester, Dad Dancing will take to the stage at Gloucester Guildhall as part of Strike A Light Festival, reclaiming fatherly grooves this spring.

The two performances, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 March 2018, will feature three brave dads who’ve agreed to go onstage and bust-a-move with their daughters, offering a show that explores father-child relationships through dance, playful storytelling and humour.

The project, by Rosie Heafford, Alexandrina Hemsley and Helena Webb, has been produced by Battersea Arts Centre, and will welcome a supporting cast of Gloucester’s own dads, granddads, father figures, and sons and daughters of all ages.

Promising an eclectic and upbeat soundtrack, Dad Dancing will reclaim the cliché from the cynics, with the cast dancing their way through their similarities and differences, hopes and regrets, to a joyful and eclectic soundtrack.

Strike A Light Festival runs from Wednesday 21 to Tuesday 27 March 2018. For more information see Strike A Light Festival.
