Promising a magical atmosphere, beautiful live music and an unforgettable festive experience, Gloucester Cathedral is hosting its special Cathedral Christmas Experience at Night events once again this December 2023.
The beautiful, historic building will be all lit up for Christmas on Saturday 9; Friday 15; Saturday 16; Tuesday 19; Wednesday 20; and Thursday 21 December 2023, giving visitors the chance to see spectacular light displays, Christmas decorations and hear spellbinding music from the cathedral's choirs and musicians.
Providing a rare chance to explore the cathedral after dark, taking in its famous cloisters, stunning quire and imposing nave, guests can also upgrade to an 'unwrapped' ticket to include a tour of the Tower for breathtaking views across the county; or a candlelit tour of the fascinating Cathedral Library.
The Monk's Kitchen is open and serving mulled wine, mince pies and other festive treats during these special events, too; as is the Cathedral Gift Shop, providing a selection of souvenirs and Christmas gifts to take home.
One of the county's most unmissable festive events, tickets to Gloucester Cathedral's Christmas Experience at Night must be pre-booked online and cost £7 per adult and £3 for children aged six to 17.
Library unwrapped tickets cost £12 per adult and £6 per child; with Tower unwrapped tickets costing £20 per adult and £10 per child, including standard entry.
Please note, the Library and the Tower are only accessible via a spiral staircase so are regrettably not accessible for those with mobility issues.
