Sudeley Castle will bring the past to life on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September 2021, during its annual celebration of the remarkable Katherine Parr.
The family-friendly event celebrates the life of Henry VIII’s sixth wife, who is famously buried in the 15th century St Mary’s Church within the grounds of Sudeley Castle.
The weekend will include historical re-enactors portraying Queen Katherine, her sister, serial Lady in Waiting Anne Herbert, together with Lady Jane Grey and Princess Elizabeth.
What’s more, visitors can explore the eventful 1000-year history of the Castle, showcased throughout its newly refurbished exhibition rooms, for a fascinating insight into the life of Katherine Parr.
The Castle Kitchen Pantry and The Terrace Café will also be open, serving a range of hot and cold drinks, as well as freshly prepared dishes made with local ingredients.
