Whether you're new to yoga or experienced, the Christmassy Bobble Yoga Retreat is set to provide a relaxing and rewarding weekend in a tranquil Cotswold setting - led by experienced Stroud-based yogi, Adri Szigeti.
Taking place over the weekend of Friday 2 to Sunday 4 December 2022 at Cotswold Park Barns in Woodmancote, the carefully-planned weekend allows participants to immerse themselves deeper in yoga, connect with nature and feel great - after enjoying freshly-prepared, healthy food.
Organisers say the programme is designed so retreaters' days are full, yet revitalising and rejuvenating - just like any weekend getaway should be.
A range of yoga sessions
Morning mindfulness practices will be based on the Himalayan tradition of meditation, with themes including 'a deeper connection with breath' and 'turning towards mindfulness' - designed to reduce stress - with tools to implement these practices in everyday life.
Morning Asana practices are physical exercises based on 'Breathe and Flow' methodology, suitable for all levels. There will be props to help with achieving poses, and these practices are based on traditional Ashtanga and Hatha yoga.
Evening Asana practices will centre around a combination of slower hatha and restorative / yin yoga methodologies - again making the most of props and mindfulness. Expect these practices to allow your body and mind to really relax at the end of your day.
Yoga workshops, meanwhile, with one on the Saturday and Sunday, are always different in content as organisers tailor them to the retreat guests - with an outline based on discovering just what yoga is and why you should know about it, the physical foundations - including Sun Salutations, and the art of slowing down. Everything is designed to easily incorporate into your self-practice back home.
Delicious freshly prepared food
The Bobble Yoga Retreat includes healthy breakfasts, lunches, dinners, teas, coffees and snacks - prepared by two chefs with experience catering for yoga retreats, who also share a mindfulness mindset. The menu is vegetarian or vegan, and special requirements can be catered for, with all ingredients being as locally sourced as possible and naturally gluten free. No alcohol is served during the retreats, and retreaters are asked not to bring any either, to help ensure you get the very best from the range of sessions.
Luxurious Cotswold accommodation
Bobble Yoga's Cotswold yoga retreats are set in the luxurious Cotswold Park Barns in between Cheltenham and Cirencester, offering a tranquil yet modern setting. It's got everything you could hope for, including a large area with underfloor heating for yoga practice; a hand-crafted kitchen; and cosy and comfortable en-suite bedrooms - with eco-credentials throughout.
While the peaceful and remote setting is ideal for making the most of this magical part of the world.
Free time in the Cotswold countryside
Organisers say they'll be making sure that decisions are reduced to a minimum, helping you to relax and leave any stresses behind - and the biggest decision you'll likely need to make will be whether to book into a massage or go for a crisp winter walk.
Pack your hiking boots to explore the beautiful countryside; sink into a hot tub on the Saturday afternoon; mingle with fellow yogis on an exploratory discussion; or cosy-in and hide away with a book.
