The latest moving exhibition from Cheltenham’s The Wilson, showcases diaries and letters from those embroiled in the First World War to mark the centenary.

Available to view in the Open Archive on Monday 5 to Sunday 31 March 2018, within Cheltenham’s art gallery and museum, The Wilson, ‘At last fighting is over’ is hinged around a painting by artist Fred Roe, called A Relieved Platoon.

The collective exhibition of letters, paintings and diaries has been curated from The Wilson Collections, The Cheltenham Local History Society, The Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum and Cheltenham Ladies’ College.

Having been on display throughout the summer, the exhibition will run throughout November to mark the centenary of Armistice.
