Land and seascape artist, Adele Riley, is Cotswold Sculpture Park’s new artist in residence for the 2022 season – offering art lovers in the county a rare opportunity to see the painter in action.
Alongside Riley’s solo exhibition, which is on display at Cotswold Sculpture Park, the painter will be working from the park on selected dates in June, July, August and September.
On the days when she is in residence, she will be capturing various sections of the unique outdoor gallery on her canvas, with the finished paintings being added to the exhibition.
Each of her paintings is also available to buy from Cotswold Sculpture Park throughout the season, with pieces suiting a range of budgets from smaller works like ‘Little Egret’ at £265 to larger-scale paintings like ‘Golden Air’ at £1,295.
Working predominantly in acrylics and using wax, pencils, knives and thick layers to create textures, Riley specialises in working outdoors and capturing the light, sound and feel of the places she paints – aiming to create strong emotional content in all of her works.
Cotswold Sculpture Park is open from 10.30am to 5pm Thursday to Monday with admission costing £7, and Adele Riley’s exhibition is on until Friday 30 September 2022.
