A group of artists which favours the modernist’s approach, the Abstract 7 will showcase its work during a summer exhibition at Cheltenham’s Chapel Arts, offering an engaging display for all.

Open on Wednesdays to Saturdays, art lovers can see the exhibition between Wednesday 4 and Saturday 28 July 2018; featuring five painters, one potter and one sculptor, expect an innovative and exciting collection of pieces to peruse.

For the Abstract 7, abstraction is a means of enlightenment, offering an element of magic that reveals images of inner-feelings beyond thought or mind. The group’s work isn’t to be reasoned with or necessarily understood, but to be experienced and meditated upon.

Members in the group are Christine Allen, Sue Davis, Sean Hewitt, Richard Holliday, Paul Jackson, Peter Morrell and Frank Phelan, all of whom share the philosophy of abstraction that echoes the appreciation of the New York abstract expressionists.

Set to be a highlight of Chapel Arts’ exhibition calendar, the Abstract 7’s exhibition is sure to delight viewers this July.
