People of all ages from across Cirencester are getting together to celebrate their community at the town's annual family event, The Big Lunch.
The event on Sunday 22 June 2025 will see locals meet at the Abbey Grounds to share food and enjoy a 'vibrant' day of fun and entertainment, with activities, live music, food and drink and a small craft market among the attractions.
This year's theme 'get involved' invites Cirencester's local charities and community organisations along to the event, too, to showcase 'the breadth of opportunities, services and support' available in the town.
Activities for all ages will include a climbing wall, petting farm, safe archery, bell ringing, creative workshops, circus skills and the event's 'ever-popular' silent disco, with a lineup of live music featuring local artists and bands performing at the historic bandstand.
A small artisan market will showcase local crafts and produce, while there's plenty to eat with a range of food and drink stalls and space to enjoy a picnic with your neighbours, family and friends, too.
Cirencester mayor, Sarah Orr, said. 'The Big Lunch is about everyone in Cirencester coming together, celebrating our shared spaces, and getting involved in what makes our community strong.'
