David Owen, director of economy and environment at Gloucestershire County Council, discusses what the future could hold for the county at a special University of Gloucestershire lecture this September 2024.

Pressing fast forward on the next 25 years, this year's Honourable Company of Gloucestershire Lecture offers a deep dive into the Gloucestershire Strategy and explains how it will shape our county's future.

Taking place at the University of Gloucestershire's Park campus, in the Elwes Building on Wednesday 25 September 2024, the lecture shares plans for infrastructure, housing and business in Gloucestershire — and discusses how this joined-up vision will create a sustainable future for the county.

Presented by David Owen, director of economy and environment at Gloucestershire County Council, delegates can expect an overview of the strategy, from where we could live and work to how we'll get around.

Hosted in partnership with the Honourable Company of Gloucestershire, the lecture will be introduced by Michael Jones from the Honourable Company, and Nicola de Iongh, chair of University Council.

Tickets to this insightful lecture are free but must be registered in advance via Eventbrite.
