Gloucester 10K is set to return to the city in full this June 2022, after the disruption of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Serious runners will be at the front as the gun goes on Sunday 26 June 2022, but for the organisers, this year’s event is all about getting anyone and everyone involved – and showing off the best side of the city.
Runners will take a tour of the Cathedral, docks and Gloucester Quays as well as the canal tow path, before returning to Gloucester Park to receive their medals.
The flat, fast course offers keen runners a chance for personal bests, as well as novice runners the chance to test their abilities.
For the organisers and driving force behind the run, Davies and Partners Solicitors, this is a community event – with money raised going to local charities including Great Western Air Ambulance and Gloucester Food Bank.
This year’s 10K is sponsored by construction firm EG Carter and supported by the likes of Gloucester Rotary; SK Heating & Cooling; Creed Foodservices; Gloucester Quays; the Canal and Rivers Trust; Gloucester Sports; and Gloucester Cathedral.
There’s also a challenge to companies across the county to enter a team to win its corporate challenge race within a race.
