With 13 years of championing Gloucestershire business under its belt, GFirst LEP hosts its final event this March 2024 before the team is transferred to Gloucestershire County Council.

GFirst LEP is hosting its final event on Tuesday 12 March 2024, celebrating its successes over the last 13 years before it merges with Gloucestershire County Council

'The One About Evolution' takes place from 4.30pm to 6.30pm in The Growth Hub at the University of Gloucestershire's Oxstalls campus and will look back at the organisation's achievements, as well as looking into the future of business in Gloucestershire.

GFirst LEP was launched in 2011 with the goal of creating jobs, boosting local businesses and promoting economic growth in Gloucestershire. Over the years, it has brought £113 million worth of investment into the county, helped hundreds of start-ups get up and running, as well as improving the county's transport links.

The closure comes after the government withdrew funding for all LEPs around the country — and in April 2024, the local team will be transferred to Gloucestershire County Council and GFirst LEP will shut down.

The event is free to attend, but tickets are limited and can be booked via Eventbrite.
