Cheltenham's cyber networking platform, CyNam is hosting a special flagship event, AI - Beyond the Hype: Getting Hands on with Generative AI, this October 2023, coinciding with Cheltenham Literature Festival.
Taking place at various times across a variety of venues in the town on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 October 2023, the sessions cover a selection of topics under the umbrella theme of AI, with a special focus on highlighting the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, in the hopes of encouraging more women and girls to pursue careers in STEM.
Through a number of workshops taking place over the two days, attendees can register for one of the six available sessions, as well as a special AI discussion panel featuring prestigious speakers such as technology business editor at The Times, Katie Prescott; University of Cambridge politics professor, David Runciman; University of Oxford computer science professor, Michael Wooldridge; and Imperial College London science communication lecturer, Kanta Dihal.
Guests are also welcome to register for the community networking session taking place as the final event on the Wednesday evening.
Whether you see artificial intelligence and AI assistants as a threat or a helpful tool when used correctly, the hype around AI isn't likely to die down anytime soon, so these sessions provide the perfect opportunity to get to grips with its capabilities and what it means for you.
Tickets are FREE and can be booked via Eventbrite, with directions to individual event venues provided after booking.
