St Edward’s Church in Stow-on-the-Wold has been revealed as one of the most influential doors in the UK.
Beating the likes of Downing Street and The Bank of England in London, the 13th century St Edward’s Church was ranked number five on the list of the 10 most influential doors in the country – based on its Instagram presence.
The church dates back to the Middle Ages and features an imposing wooden door with an archway of stained glass, framed by two spectacularly formed Yew trees
The door is said to have influenced J.R.R. Tolkein’s Doors of Durin from The Lord of the Rings.
The list, compiled by Safestyle UK, based each door’s influence on the number of Instagram images at the location, how many images the door itself featured in and its potential earnings on the platform.
