To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, join Friends of Sandford Park on Sunday 5 June 2022 for a jam-packed day of family fun and activities.
Visitors can look forward to an abundance of entertainment in Sandford Park, with children’s face painting; live music; and the opportunity to challenge opponents on the inflatable squash court and mini tennis court.
Relax with a leisurely stroll to browse stalls from local craftspeople and charities and tuck into delicious snacks with a selection of food stalls serving everything from hog roasts to ice cream for hungry visitors to enjoy.
Plus, a fancy dress parade will take place at 11am – little ones are encouraged to dress in their best royal attire, fit for a king or queen.
If that wasn’t enough, pooches will have chance to compete in the dog show, offering the opportunity for four-legged friends to win a champion rosette for their dexterity or dashing good looks – with categories including ‘Best Rescue Dog’ and ‘Golden Oldie’.
All funds raised from this event will be used to add exercise equipment to Sandford Park for public use.
