Visitors old and young are in for a buzzing day out at Slimbridge Wetland Centre this autumn, when the attraction’s new GIANT Bionic bug Trail opens.

Running from Saturday 6 October to Sunday 4 November 2018, the terrific trail offers the chance to get up close to a host of gigantic bugs, including a six-foot long dragonfly, four-foot buzzing bee, and a six-foot long hopping grasshopper.

Brought to life with state-of-the-art animatronics and incredible sound effects, the trail is sure to wow kids.

Collecting their free bug book on arrival, visitors can hunt for bugs and receive stickers for each one that they find; explore The Spinney and North American zone to see what’s hiding, peer under branches, through leaves and down murky holes to see the creatures up close.

Explorers can also snap some pictures of real-life bugs as they wander around the glorious grounds, keeping their eyes peeled for beautiful butterflies, dragonflies, bees and many more creatures.
