The £15 million buy-out of a Tewkesbury telecoms firm was made possible by a team of legal experts from a Cheltenham law firm.
DAEL Ventures Limited, a provider of design, construction and acquisition services for mobile telecoms infrastructure, has been bought by Mitie Group plc.
Three teams at Cheltenham-based BPE Solicitors advised the shareholders of DAEL Ventures Limited, on the deal with the London-headquartered outsourcing giant.
Louise Grzasko, BPE’s corporate partner who led the deal, said: ‘I am delighted that we were able to work with the team at DAEL Ventures to achieve their goal and look forward to seeing their Telecoms business unit grow further under the Mitie Group.’
Andy Train, managing director of DAEL Telecom, said: ‘The telecoms sector is growing at an incredible rate and joining forces with Mitie is an exciting opportunity for us to broaden our reach.’
BPE’s Heyma Holmes (partner, employment) and Steve Conlay (associate, employment) and Matt Jackson (senior associate, commercial) were also part of the law firm’s team.
As well as providing telecoms infrastructure services, DAEL Ventures supports the special events market with temporary mobile infrastructure, and provides bespoke structural engineering and design services.
DAEL Ventures (the UK arm of DAEL Netherland), including its subsidiaries DAEL Telecom Ltd, JB Towers Ltd and JISTICS Limited, will join Mitie’s Technical Services business to create a new Mitie Telecoms division.
