If you know the cyber security expert helping guard your business has worked with the likes of the UK government, the Ministry of Defence and NATO, you probably have reason to relax a little.

Customers of Salus Cyber can also say that, in the name of security, the firm’s boss has performed multiple tests on complex weapon systems including unmanned underwater vehicles.

Now the Cheltenham firm has launched a ‘weapon’ of its own – EasyCyber, which gives small and medium-sized businesses access to services that may have previously been out of their range on a ‘pick what you need and pay monthly’ basis.

Customers of the cyber security subscription service will also be helped towards achieving the government-recognised Cyber Essentials standard – a kitemark confirming the business does all it can to mitigate against cyber-attacks and is a ‘safe’ business partner.

‘I wanted to demystify ‘cyber’ for UK businesses who may not have the experience or expertise to understand what it means to their businesses,’ said Jason Kalwa, the founder and CEO of Salus Cyber – and the man whose CV features the aforementioned major institutions and complex weapons system testing.

‘EasyCyber provides small-medium businesses access to professional and proven cyber security skills in a subscription model to go on a journey in becoming more cyber secure.

‘We act as their outsourced cyber security provider to help develop a road map for improvement whilst providing the ability to become Cyber Essentials certified.’

Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed scheme supported by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

If your business is considering the Cyber Essentials certification, Salus Cyber is offering a free Cyber Essentials Readiness Scorecard which will help highlight the areas you might need to improve on to achieve certification.
