Few events have such a tempting carrot dangled to help everyone decide to attend as Gloucestershire College’s Scale Up 4 Growth, which could help delegates access up to £40,000 each.
Exclusively for Gloucestershire’s SMEs, the college is due to stage the event in partnership with UWE Bristol and NatWest on Wednesday 31 March 2021 at 2pm.
At its heart is the aim to deliver £1 million in grants of between £10,000 and £40,000 to start-ups and small and medium sized businesses in the county.
It is hoped the cash – from the European Regional Development Fund – will help businesses achieve their goals to grow, boosting the county’s economy and creating jobs. The grants will fund 35 per cent of total project costs.
According to Gloucestershire College Scale Up 4 Growth is ‘ideal for businesses looking to invest in new premises, new markets, new products or new systems to allow them to trade internationally, accelerate growth, build their team or start manufacturing’.
To help make sure everyone understands the big picture and the detail, Robin Halpenny, Business Growth Partner at UWE Bristol, will be on hand to explain.
This online event is open to all small and medium sized businesses based in the Gloucestershire LEP region: Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Forest of Dean, Stroud and the Cotswolds.
That includes pre-start-ups, start-ups, micro enterprises, social enterprises and sole traders as well as established companies.
For more information and to book a place, visit Eventbrite.co.uk.
There is no need to wait for the event to register interest either. Apply online to receive one-to-one support by visiting scaleup4growth.co.uk.
Applications for funding will close on Wednesday 5 May 2021.
