Originally founded in Herefordshire in 1980, Dunkertons has been producing organic cider and perry for over 40 years – pressing, fermenting and bottling its award-winning ciders at its home in Charlton Kings.
The Cheltenham cidery has evolved into a thriving hospitality business, with its dynamic Tap Room bar that hosts live music, regular events and exclusive street food vendors; cidery tours and masterclasses; and on-site shop and deli.
Cider enthusiasts can sample all 11 varieties of its award-winning cider and perry at the Tap Room, decked out with log fires and heaters to keep them warm whatever the weather, or cosy up in the new Snug room, which can be hired out for private events.
Dogs are welcome in the bar, too, making it a perfect pitstop after walkies around the nearby Lineover Woods or Dowdeswell Reservoir, while there are giant, seasonal outdoor games for kids to enjoy on a family visit.
Inside Dunkertons Organic Cider Shop and Deli, customers can treat themselves to the full range of ciders, as well as organic deli items; locally-distilled gins and other spirits; pastries and bread from local suppliers La Boulangerie Artisan and Hobbs House Bakery; and unique gifts such as glassware and pottery.
Meanwhile, cider-making masterclasses and tours of the cidery run all year round, with the chance to see the apples pressed between September and November.
