St Edward’s Church Door

St Edward’s Church door is known as the most photographed door in the Cotswolds. Rumoured to have sparked J. R. R. Tolkien’s inspiration for the ‘Doors of Durin’, which appear in the Lord of the Rings, the door was built around 300 years ago and is an impressive sight, with two large yew trees surrounding its entrance.
