Dating back to the 1740s, Painswick Rococo Garden is an impressive historical attraction tucked away in a Cotswold valley on the outskirts of Painswick.
Visitors of all ages can discover a restored 18th century pleasure park with characterful follies, period structures and surprises around every corner. Revered for its spectacular snowdrop grove, it’s truly a garden for all seasons – with springtime daffodils and tulips, fragrant summer roses and dazzling autumn colour to admire.
There’s plenty for young visitors to explore too, with a nature trail, maze and woodland play area, as well as family-friendly events hosted throughout the year. The grounds also welcome well-behaved dogs on short leads.
There’s also a lovely on-site café, serving light lunches, snacks and hot drinks – using ingredients from Rococo Garden’s very own Kitchen Garden, which is abundant in the summer months.
