22 June – A weekend of gastronomic delights will be coming to Gloucestershire in June, when the Cheltenham Food and Drink Festival 2008 gets underway, with guest appearances from The Two Hairy Bikers this year.

Foodies from across the country won’t be the only ones flocking to Cheltenham this summer, as more than 160 local and regional restaurants, producers and exhibitors will also be represented at The Cheltenham Food and Drink Festival 2008, with special TV chef guests The Two Hairy Bikers also in attendance.

Held at Montpellier Gardens in Cheltenham from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 June 2008, gastronomes from across Gloucestershire and further afield will be able to eat, drink and be very merry at the annual food festival, where a mouth-watering array of tasty food and drinks can be sampled over the three days.

Organisers promise that The Two Hairy Bikers, also known as David Myers and Simon King, along with some of the county’s leading local chefs will be showcasing local and regional produce in the Natural Kitchen.

For those who enjoy a tipple – or two – there will also be a Wine Theatre showcasing the finest wines from England and further afield, with leading wine makers, writers and industry experts sharing their knowledge with the crowds. While the real ale enthusiasts will also be treated to some fine samples from local brewers, as well as being able to hear a host of ale and cider talks.

So whether you are a budding master chef or simply love what lands on your plate at the fantastic array of restaurants across Gloucestershire, make sure Cheltenham Food and Drink Festival 2008 is firmly placed in your diaries.
