Would be nice if you could have a trip on a small boat instead of having to paddle. Will give 10 stars if they introduce that!

Samanda by Young & Pure review

Product of the week – The twins might not be A-list, but Samanda by Young & Pure is a light, floral scent which is set to induce giggly excitement in teens everywhere.

With a Barbie single and their own perfume the Samanda twins are everywhere.
With a Barbie single and their own perfume the Samanda twins are everywhere.

As celebrities go, you’re probably more likely to see Big Brother twins Sam and Amanda at a shopping centre than sashaying down a Hollywood red carpet. But just like Kylie, Sarah Jessica Parker and Christina Aguilera their names (well a combination of their names) will be splashed across bottles of their own brand of scent from November.

Packaged in neon pink and emblazoned with a picture of the bubbly duo, natural teenage skincare brand Young & Pure know their target audience well – with teeny teens and girls who don’t want to grow-up predicted to be squealing for bottles of the new eau de parfum as early stocking fillers.

But will what’s inside the bottle be worth all the giggly excitement? While we admit to being considerably past our teenage years – thank goodness – we can reveal that the light floral fragrance is pretty easy on the nose. A citrusy day scent which smells, well, young and pure.

Made with a subtle and uplifting blend of natural essential oils, the initial burst of fragrance offers a fruity combination of lemon and lime, with floral heart notes of magnolia, freesia and waterlilies, followed by a sweet and subtle combination of vanilla and sandalwood.

If Samanda by Young & Pure is only a fraction as popular as the girl’s were on Big Brother, this will be one eau de parfum that may just give Kylie, Sarah Jessica Parker and Christina Aguilera a run for their money – with teenagers anyway.

A 50ml bottle of Samanda by Young & Pure costs £14.95 from Morrisons, Superdrug, Woolworth and The Perfume Shop in Gloucestershire.
