One of Cheltenham’s most popular fine dining restaurants has announced that it will close permanently on Sunday 24 March 2019.

The White Spoon restaurant in Cheltenham is a firm favourite with foodies across Gloucestershire, but an announcement on Facebook from owners Chris White and Purdey Spooner has revealed that the restaurant will close due to the ‘challenges of running a business, whilst maintaining a balance with a young family.’

Chris White, chef director of The White Spoon says they have had ‘such a fantastic time, creating, growing and running The White Spoon’ continuing that operating the restaurant was a dream he had held for a long time.

The couple thanked customers who had dined at the establishment over the last three years, as well as staff.

Bookings after Monday 25 March 2019 will not be able to be honoured, but the couple has invited fans to come along and take up the final few tables available before the closure.
