Along with its kegs and cans, Stroud Brewery's cask beers are now vegan friendly, as they no longer use fish fining to clear them.

Good news for beer drinking vegans — all of Stroud Brewery's cask beers are now suitable for plant-based customers.

Previously, the award-winning and certified B Corp Gloucestershire business used isinglass fining — a gelatine derived from the swim bladders of fish which attracts negative charges in the yeast and proteins in beer, dragging them to the bottom of the container — but has since switched to a vegan-friendly alternative.

This means the 100 per cent organic beer producer's entire keg, can and now cask range can be enjoyed by all — and is ideal for Veganuary sipping!

Opt for 'Budding' a 4.5 per cent ABV pale ale — characterful and complex, experience aromatic citrus notes from Amarillo hops which harmonise with a sweet malt backbone and a balanced grassy bitterness.

'Tom Long' comes in at 3.8 per cent ABV. This amber bitter is full bodied, with caramel notes from crystal malt and is named after the mythical highwayman of Minchinhampton common.

Or perhaps the clean, golden session pale ale 'O.P.A' will appeal, with hints of red apple from organic Wakatu and Taiheke hops from New Zealand.
