A delicious new addition has arrived in the gardens of The Slaughters Country Inn, with a stylish new outdoor food cart, The Field Kitchen, now open and serving flatbreads, bagels, ice cream and drinks to enjoy in the inn’s beautiful gardens.

Located in the centre of Lower Slaughter, near Bourton-on-the-Water, it's open from midday to 6pm every day.

The Field Kitchen’s menu features toasted bagels, with options including smoked salmon, pickled cucumber, cream cheese, chive alongside beef pastrami, chargrilled chicken and avocado and sundried tomato options.

Stone-baked flatbreads are packed with barbecue pulled pork, jalapeno, Double Gloucester and chilli oil as well as Cotswold Brie, whipped chickpea and vegan feta choices.

Refreshing ice creams come in crisp waffle cones and chilled drinks include wine, cider, beers, gin and tonic along with soft drinks.

The Field Kitchen is open to all, with locals, walkers, cyclists and families all invited to drop in as they fancy, as well as offering an extra treat to hotel guests.

Reservations aren’t required and there’s plenty of alfresco seating on the pretty garden terrace.
