Celebrity chefs and Great British Bake Off stars are coming to Gloucester this July 2024 for Gloucester Quays Food Festival.
The free event has a jam-packed programme of cooking demonstrations, live music and family entertainment taking place on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July 2024.
The Cookery Theatre in Mariners Square is once again hosted by chef and TV presenter Chris Bavin, with Bake Off 2023 finalist Josh Smalley, the 'Dirty Vegan' Matt Pritchard and the iconic Rosemary Schrager taking to the stage on Saturday; followed by Bake Off 2023 finalist, Tasha Stones; Bake Off 2012 winner and Strictly Come Dancing 2021 finalist, John Whaite; and master chocolatier, pastry chef and TV star, Paul A Young on the Sunday.
As well as live cooking demonstrations from the celebs, visitors can also browse over 150 stalls selling local food, artisan produce and crafts; sip locally brewed craft beers, cocktails and Pimm's at the festival's pop-up bar; and tuck into some of Gloucestershire's tastiest street food showcasing flavours from around the world.
There's family entertainment planned to keep little ones occupied, too.
For foodies that are inspired to fire up the stove at home, Gloucester Quays is home to top cookware brands including ProCook, Le Creuset and Denby with up to 70 per cent off retail prices.
While for those who'd rather let someone else do the cooking, visitors can book a table at one of Gloucester Quays many restaurants, including Bill's, Brewhouse & Kitchen, Coal Kitchen, Côte Brasserie and Portivo Lounge.
Gloucester Quays Food Festival is on from 10am to 7pm on Saturday 20 and 10am to 5pm on Sunday 21 July 2024 and entry is free.
Space at the Cookery Theatre is first-come, first-served, so it's a good idea to arrive early for the demonstrations you want to see.
