Cheltenham foodies will finally be able to try Nagomi's Japanese-Korean fusion cuisine, when the hotly-anticipated new restaurant opens its doors on Thursday 29 September 2022.
The new independent restaurant has taken over part of the building that once housed The Stable on Clarence Street, with brand-new Filipino restaurant, Pyesta, as its neighbour.
Diners can look forward to authentic flavours from Japan and Korea, with a menu that's focused around sharing plates and makes use of Japanese grilling and Korean barbecue techniques.
Signature dishes include yakiniku, which is meat, seafood and vegetables cooked on individual smokeless Japanese table grills; kushiyaki, which are smoky skewers grilled over Japanese charcoal on an authentic Konro grill; as well as shabu-shabu, a Japanese hotpot dish that's packed with umami flavour.
There's also the chance to try kushikatsu, a popular dish in Japan's foodie capital, Osaka, which consists of deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables, served with a kushikatsu dip.
Nagomi will be open for lunch and dinner service from Tuesday to Friday, serving food from 12pm to 2.30pm and again from 6pm to 9pm. On Saturday and Sunday, it will welcome diners from 12pm through to 9pm.
Nagomi is due to open in Cheltenham on Thursday 29 September 2022.
