Ready to make a splash? Leisure at Cheltenham is enrolling for swim school, with courses to help people of all ages feel confident in the water starting in September 2024.

Whether you've been inspired by Team GB's recent Olympic triumphs in the pool, or simply want to learn how to swim in a safe and inclusive environment, Leisure at Cheltenham offers a comprehensive swim school with classes for babies and toddlers, children and adults in its 25m indoor training pool.

Lessons are structured, progressive and tailored to different skill levels, so the programme offers something for everyone — whether it's your first time splashing about or you're already making big strokes in the water.

In line with Swim England's Learn to Swim Programme, classes take a game-led approach to make learning fun, with rewards for students as they progress.

Starting with classes for babies as young as four months old, lessons combine fun with foundational swimming skills, teaching little ones how to feel comfortable in the water and giving them the building blocks they need to develop their strokes, leg kicks and breathing technique.

Students are assessed continuously and encouraged to move through each stage at their own pace; while parents can keep up-to-date with their children's progress at any time, through a dedicated online portal which documents their swimming journey.

Not only this, but kids can also continue to build their confidence in the water at the Splashpad, Leisure at Cheltenham's very own aquatic play area which offers a range of water play activities ideal for children under six. Sessions are available for booking alongside lessons and the main pool.

Leisure at Cheltenham runs its swim school for 50 weeks of the year, with lessons held throughout the week including evenings and weekends.

Swimming lessons at Leisure at Cheltenham cost £29 per month, or you can enrol for a 10-week course that runs during term time for £74.

The next intake of courses starts from Monday 23 September 2024 — including lessons for adult beginners.
