A modern, tech-enabled self-storage facility has opened its first venue near Cheltenham.
Located in Andoversford on the A40, Cube Storage is a hybrid storage site combining internal storage with modified shipping containers; while the site office is a cantilevered 40ft shipping container.
The facility has been
developed in collaboration with big storage industry names such as OpenTech Alliance, Kinnovis, Securus, Kuboid, SecureStores and Cheltenham-based architectural brand, Edge Design Workshop.
The self-storage facility offers advanced security and technology-enabled features, including: AI-enhanced, motion-detecting CCTV, covering 100 per cent of the site; smart lock technology for internal units, offering PIN and Bluetooth access; and a fully automated booking and move-in system, allowing customers to secure their space in minutes.
And with unit sizes ranging from 15 to 160 sq ft, Cube
Storage offers a variety of options, from compact internal units to large,
drive-up container spaces.
Co-founder, Adam Crohill, explains why technology is fundamental to Cube Storage’s approach: 'The storage industry is seeing rapid change and customer expectations are evolving.
'People want convenience, security and a seamless experience — technology allows us to deliver that. At Cube Storage, our customers can choose their space, book their unit and move in without ever having to speak to a member of the team, giving them complete control over the process.
'We don’t believe in just following the industry — we believe in leading it. By integrating smart locks, automated access, and AI-enabled security, Cube Storage offers a level of convenience and control that larger, traditional self-storage businesses simply can’t match.'
