Two Gloucestershire businesswomen have won accolades in the Best Business Women Awards 2024.

Kelly Tucker, founder and managing director of Cheltenham-based HR Star, took home the gold award for Best Businesswoman in Business Services at the gala ceremony which took place at Hilton Syon Park in London this October 2024.

While Stroud-based virtual assistant, Dionne Popplestone, took home silver in the Best New Business category.

The Best Business Women Awards have been running since 2015 with organisers saying the event is 'the largest and most prestigious women in business awards in the UK'.

Handpicked by a panel of expert judges, the awards recognise the achievements of female-owned businesses and charities from across the country.

Kelly said: 'This recognition is a significant milestone for HR Star. It reflects the dedication of our team and the positive impact we create by helping businesses thrive through its people.

'I’m incredibly proud that our commitment to transforming workplaces has been recognised at such a prestigious level. This acknowledgement only inspires us to continue pushing the boundaries of what HR can achieve in supporting organisational growth.

Dionne added: 'I am absolutely over the moon that we have won this best new business award. I started this business just under 18 months ago and to now officially become award-winning is amazing.

'Thank you to all of our lovely clients for trusting us with your business, we really appreciate it.'
