Priding itself on its superior service and complete turn key solution for clients, Meliora, together with Inndecs, works with a team of highly skilled contractors, talented designers and leading architects.

A luxury country manor house hotel set in the pretty village of Stratton near Cirencester, Stratton House Hotel and Spa has appeared in many 'best hotels in the Cotswolds' lists over the years, with its setting, decor and restaurant all revered in equal measure.

But it is the award-winning spa that really sets the hotel apart, adding that extra special indulgence for hotel guests and day visitors alike.

Awarded the top 5 bubble rating in the Good Spa Guide, Stratton's 'spa in the garden' offers a haven of tranquility with a design that echoes rural Mediterranean chic.

And that award-winning build is all down to Gloucester-based Inndecs and its team of builders and renovation specialists.

A family-run business consisting of three siblings, Melissa, Hannah and Joe Potente, Inndecs is the commercial leg of the group that also launched its residential venture, Meliora, in 2024.

And the spa at Stratton House is one of the jewels in Inndec's impressive portfolio of build projects.

A six-month long build that cost upwards of £750,000 to complete, the owner's of Stratton House wanted a spa sanctuary in the grounds that would blend seamlessly into the aesthetic of the 17th century former manor house.

With the architect's and interior designer's plans in place, Inndecs were able to bring them to life, creating an elegant, glass pavilion-style structure, with a standing seam roof, that would allow for floods of light and access to a sweeping sun terrace complete with loungers for warmer days.

The single-storey pavilion also needed to house a hive of treatment rooms and relaxation areas.

From a hot tub, steam room and sauna, to experience showers, a nail salon and treatment rooms, alongside other areas and rooms for various relaxation activities, the spa encompasses every award-winning detail.

Melissa Potente, managing director of Inndecs, said: 'We are immensely proud of the spa pavilion build and the finished product. It is preserving the heritage of the listed building but also adding an injection of modernism with the standing seam roof and glass pavilion.

'The spa has proven to be a successful and valuable addition to our client's offering at the hotel.'

Inndecs had worked with Stratton House before on other successful projects, such as as the elegant refurbishment of its guest bedrooms and function room.

Aidan Stevens, managing director of Stratton House, said: 'The spa pavilion build is one of the largest projects we have undertaken at Stratton House Hotel, so it was extremely important to us that we not only had a builder that was competent enough to take on the project, but also a builder that we could trust.

'Having already worked with Inndecs on other projects within the hotel, they were our first choice — but they also proved themselves as the most competitive when it came to pricing the project.'

The build wasn't without its significant challenges however.

Aidan continued: 'The project started in January 2021, not the best time of year to build, and the weather was not kind. It threw all sorts of challenges at the build team, but it didn't throw them off programme.

'We were also all navigating the Covid pandemic and the challenge of sourcing materials. But I was really impressed with how, despite all of this, the team were able to stay on programme throughout the project.'

Quicker than anticipated, in just five months, the spa was complete.

'We were absolutely delighted with the finish and the workmanship,' Aidan said. 'The spa has proved a massive success for the hotel and is now an award-winning spa!'
