Put your best foot forward and join a 10k night-time hike around Cheltenham, to celebrate the memory of a loved one and raise vital funds for Sue Ryder.
The Sue Ryder Starlight Hike returns to Cheltenham on Saturday 19 October 2024, inviting locals to take on the challenge for the national healthcare charity which provides palliative care and bereavement support for families in Gloucestershire, both at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice and within the community.
It’s also an opportunity to get together with friends and family to remember loved ones who are no longer with us, all while hiking underneath an enchanting night sky.
The evening kicks off with live music from i-Sing and an energetic Clubbercise warm-up for keen hikers to limber up, before they embark on the
specially designed route which begins at Ashley Manor Preparatory School.
The family-friendly route winds through Cheltenham, with the
opportunity to walk through the softly lit grounds of the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court
Hospice — where participants can take a moment to place a special star in
memory of their loved ones.
All walkers receive a Starlight Hike medal after crossing the finish line, with the annual event promising a great night out for a brilliant cause.
Best of all, thanks to event sponsorship from Capita and support from Creed Foodservice, in2print and Ashley Manor Preparatory School, every penny of sponsorship money raised will help Sue Ryder to provide even more expert and compassionate care, ensuring no one faces death or grief alone.
