Children will be filled with festive cheer during a visit to Slimbridge Wetland Centre this winter, enjoying a host of seasonal activities, tucking into breakfast or afternoon tea with the elves, and visiting Santa in his enchanted grotto.
Taking place at the favourite family destination on selected dates from Saturday 8 to Sunday 23 December 2018, the festive experience encompasses a visit to Santa’s magical grotto, and Christmas-themed activities include marshmallow toasting; elf den building; arts and crafts; and icing gingerbread men.
Santa will be welcoming morning visitors between 10am and 11.30am, who can also look forward to a delicious breakfast of sausage, bacon, egg, beans and toast, served with a hot or cold drink.
Meanwhile, afternoon visitors will be welcomed by the jolly red man between 11.45am and 3.45pm, tucking into afternoon tea of finger sandwiches, mince pies, scones, home-baked cakes and hot chocolate.
For those who wish, there’s the chance for WWT members to book a grotto-only experience between 3.45pm and 4.45pm, with little ones able to meet Santa and receive a gift.
Little ones will also get the chance to send their gift list all the way to the North Pole, by paying a visit to Santa’s Post Office. And the cherry on top of the Christmas cake, tickets also include a full day’s admission to Slimbridge Wetland Centre.
