On Saturday 16 November 2024, leading Gloucestershire independent school, Wycliffe College, is hosting a special open morning for Armed Forces families.
Wycliffe has a long tradition of supporting the families and children of British serving military personnel — a third of its boarders are from forces families, with many pupils joining the Prep School in Year 3 and continuing right up to Year 13 in the Senior School.
At the open morning from 9am to 12pm, families will have the chance to meet fellow forces parents and ask questions, chat to 'house parents' about the home-from-home environment Wycliffe creates in its boarding houses and tour the beautiful school campus.
Wycliffe is within easy reach of the major Army and RAF bases across the south west, with excellent transport links, too.
Service families who are eligible for the Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) pay just 10 per cent of the school fees throughout their child's entire school education at Wycliffe, from Years 3 to 13, including all trips, residentials and activities in school.
Families will get the chance to find out all about the school's outstanding on-site facilities, including a swimming pool; astro-turfs at both Prep and Senior campuses; a boathouse within five miles of campus; theatre studios and first-class boarding houses.
For those living in Gloucestershire, Wycliffe has a private fleet of minibuses that can pick up and drop off day pupils from bases that are within 45 minutes of school; or for parents stationed further afield in the UK or overseas, it organises road transport at the beginning and end of the holidays to any airport or UK location.
To book your place at the open morning, visit wycliffe.co.uk/events/prep-military-families-open-morning and fill out the registration form.
