The River Windrush will once again play host to a 30-minute football game this August bank holiday Monday; a traditional sporting match that dates back almost 100 years.
With crowds expected to flood the riverbanks, the game’s participants will battle it out in the cold ankle-deep water in an effort to claim victory.
What’s more, prior to the game, there will also be a number of stalls for spectators to enjoy, while helping to raise money for the development of Bourton Rovers Football Club.
The event has also been known to attract some celebrity visitors over the years, including Welsh comedian, actor and television host Griff Rhys Jones.
Further details are yet to be confirmed.
