With expert talks from sustainability leaders and case studies about how Gloucestershire businesses are going green, the county's leading business support network, The Growth Hub Gloucestershire, hosts its annual Net Zero Conference this December 2024.
The event at the University of Gloucestershire Business School at Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester brings together key local decision makers and leading voices on sustainability in business to share valuable knowledge and insights with Gloucestershire's business community.
Arriving from 8.15am on Wednesday 11 December 2024, guests can enjoy refreshments before sitting down to hear an introduction from Ruth Dooley, conference chair and vice chair of Gloucestershire's Economic Growth Board, from 9am; followed by the event's keynote speaker, Gloucestershire County Council cabinet member for environment, economy and planning, Councillor David Gray.
Expert talks will cover topics including carbon auditing; product and life cycle assessment auditing; green skills; and new carbon capture technology, while some of the county's leading businesses will present case studies about actions and initiatives they have carried out to accelerate their net zero journeys.
There will also be networking opportunities with exhibitors including South Gloucestershire and Stroud College, Made in Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire Nature + Climate Fund — with lunch and refreshments available throughout the day, too.
