The ultimate creative day out, The Handmade Fair sets up within the lovely setting of Bowood House this summer, presented by television presenter Kirstie Allsopp.
Running from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 June 2018, the highly anticipated showcase features everything from hands-on workshops to expert talks, as well as offering an excellent selection of talented makers.
Creative types can choose one of three ticket options, ensuring that there’s something to suit everyone. Entry Only tickets include all-day access to the Shopping Village; while Full Experience tickets comprise a skills workshop, grand make session, and a seat in the theatre for one hour.

Skills Workshops
Whether you’re a beginner or experienced crafter, The Handmade Fair will host a wide range of one-hour Skills Workshops, encompassing everything from calligraphy to jewellery making.
Workshops include making a needle-felted party mouse; hand-embroidered hummingbird; flower drop earrings; and macramé plant hanger.
Meanwhile there’s also the chance to try out papercutting, screen printing, morden calligraphy and watercolour painting.
Super Theatre
Head to the Super Theatre to see some of the country’s biggest creative names, delivering a series of demonstrations and Q&A sessions that are sure to delight and inspire audiences.
Friday’s timetable will see chef Richard Hunt demonstrate ways of hand-making decadent boozy truffles; and leading textiles designer and practitioner of contemporary crafts, Kaffe Fassett lead A Life in Colour.
Liz Earle MBE will return to the Handmade Fair on Saturday to share some Wellbeing Wisdom; along with designer maker Lou Gardiner, who’ll discuss her journey of being a social hermit for six months; and baker Nancy Birthwhistle who will explore Pastry Perfection.
Meanwhile on Sunday there’s the chance to Get Animated with Aardman; Get To Know Chalk Paint™ with Annie Sloan; and join Sarah Raven, author of gardening and cookery books, for some tips on making flowers last and how to arrange them.
Grand Makes
Running for 30 minutes, The Grand Makes are light, creative sessions that offer the chance to make something beautiful to take home, with plenty of choice on the packed timetable.
Sessions including making a tassel and bead keyring; wooden flower pot keepsake; and origami trinket boxes, as well as practicing Indian block print on a napkin.
Shopping Village
Visitors can head to The Shopping Village for the chance to browse beautiful products from a hand-picked selection of makers and sellers – offering plenty of opportunity to get your dose of retail therapy!
