Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 April 2008 witnessed the first-ever Gloucester Through The Ages Event – a two-day festival of the city’s history from the Romans through to WWII.
Around 10,000 residents and visitors flocked to the city centre to enjoy the grand parade re-enactments, displays, live music, guided tours and a plethora of family activities – with high spirits in despite of the April showers.
Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and staged in association with Gloucester City Council – let’s hope this becomes a regular fixture on the Gloucester events calendar.
