Johnny Cash Roadshow concert in Cirencester
13 September – Cirencester’s Bingham Hall will be alive with the man in black’s music this September, when the Johnny Cash Roadshow arrives in town.
Chances are if you weren’t already a fan of the legendary Johnny Cash before Joaquin Phoenix paid homage to the great country and rock ‘n’ roll singer in the blockbuster Walk the Line, then you are now.
And fans old and new from across Gloucestershire will be flocking to Bingham Hall in Cirencester this September, when the Johnny Cash Roadshow celebrates the performer’s long legacy with a tribute concert packed with Cash classics.
Lead by chart-topping country singer Clive John as the man in black, The Johnny Cash Roadshow was formed two years ago and features Peter Stone on double bass and harmony vocals; Nick Davis on guitar and harmony vocals; Josh Balen on percussion and harmony vocals; and singer Rosie Lee making a guest appearing as June Carter.
The audience at Bingham Hall can expect to hear Johnny Cash classics including ‘Ring of Fire’, ‘Folsom Prison Blues’, ‘Once Piece at a Time’, ‘Walk The Line’, and ‘Jackson’; modern Cash covers including the 2002 Nine Inch Nails’ track ‘Hurt’; as well as a few of Clive’s own songs like ‘Time’ and ‘Cigarettes and Coffee’.
Promising a passionate tribute to Johnny Cash, audiences can expect an energetic and entertaining evening out – without any cheesy impersonations.
