Jools Holland at Westonbirt Arboretum

18 July – Jools Holland will be playing a highly-anticipated concert at Westonbirt Arboretum in the Cotswolds this summer, as part of the 2008 Forest Tours, and tickets are on sale now. Marc Almond is also due to be a special guest on the evening.

Tickets for Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra’s summer concert at Westonbirt Arboretum this July 2008 are selling-fast, and it has just been announced that Marc Almond will also be appearing as special guest vocalist at the Gloucestershire event.

As part of The Forestry Commission’s 2008 Forest Tours series of concerts, which will also see Katherine Jenkins and Status Quo gracing the Arboretum’s stage, the boogie woogie, swing and jazz sound of the former Squeeze member and his prolific band will be heard resounding across the stunning Westonbirt Arboretum come Friday 18 July 2008.

Due to the extreme weather suffered in Gloucestershire last summer, Jools Holland’s July concert at Westonbirt in 2007 was unfortunately cancelled, but now fans have been given another opportunity to see the man in action and we’ll all be hoping for a bit of sunshine.

This autumn has been a particularly busy time for the music maestro with the publication of his autobiography, Barefaced Lies and Boogie-Woogie Boasts and top 10 chart success with his latest album Best of Friends. And, with his Westonbirt concert in 2008 featuring Gilson Lavis and guest vocalists Marc Almond, Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall, if previous shows are anything to go by, tickets will sell out months in advance.
