You can feel the excitement mounting as music lovers across the county eagerly anticipate this year’s Stroud Fringe Festival, scheduled to take place over a fun-filled weekend this September.

The annual street festival has earned itself quite a reputation, not least because it is totally free, and attracts an eclectic mix of performers spanning music genres including rock, indie, metal, hip hop, folk and country.

This year’s entertainment will all take place across Stroud with the four venues being simultaneously packed out during the weekend. You’ll find live music taking place at the Cornhill stage, Kings Street stage, Fawkes Place stage, Riffs stage and at the Stroud Subscription Rooms.

Gloucestershire artists on the bill include Irritant, Parousia, Jexica Riot, Edge of Blue and Master of None, while Remolo, Red Light Go, Dan Greenaway and Raise make up some of the acts from across the UK. The 2007 Stroud Fringe Festival also boasts visiting guest act Samantha Horwill from South Africa, in addition to a whole host of other unmissable performers.
