Blockley Art Society Summer Exhibition 2008
Until 10 August – The art community of a quintessentially Cotswold village will be unveiling their work to the public at the Blockley Art Society Summer Exhibition 2008, this August.
The Cotswold village of Blockley plays home to a group of talented local artists who will be unveiling their work to art lovers from across Gloucestershire this August, when the Blockley Art Society Summer Exhibition 2008 gets underway.
The Blockley Art Society was formed over 25 years ago, and is comprised of 40 members who will be unveiling more than 240 pictures to the public, including colourful still life, semi-abstracted landscape, seascapes and figurative works.
Held from Saturday 2 to Sunday 10 August 2008, the Summer Exhibition is set to take place in the Jubilee Centre in the middle of the village, which is hidden away in an area of outstanding beauty.
There is the promise of plenty of free car parking for visitors driving to Blockley, with nearby Batsford Arboretum, Mill Dene Garden and Sezincote House and Garden offering day trippers plenty to do in addition to the art exhibition.
