Winchcombe Horse Show and Weekend
18 May – Sudeley Castle will be the setting for the Winchcombe Horse Show and Winchcombe Weekend 2008, with free entry for local residents.
With summer on the horizon, Gloucestershire attractions are warmly welcoming visitors from across the county and beyond – with Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May 2008 being no exception for Sudeley Castle and Gardens, hosts of the annual Winchcombe Horse Show and Winchcombe Weekend.
The special weekend will see visitors enjoying Sudeley Castle’s usual attractions – including the magnificent building itself, the expansive gardens and the brand new children’s play area – while the Winchcombe Horse Show, scheduled for Sunday 18 May 2008, is set to be a particular highlight.
Local riders and competitors from surrounding counties are expected to join in on the action, taking part in a wide range of jumping classes in the beautiful, parkland setting of Sudeley’s Castle Field. The schedule of events will see Main Horse Classes in Ring 1, Main Pony Classes in Ring 2, Lower Course Pony Classes in Ring 3, Clear Round Jumping in Ring 4 and Dressage in Ring 5.
Winchcombe residents in particular won’t want to miss out – thanks to free entry for all residents living in the GL54 postcode area, upon production of proof of address – while this annual event is sure to be popular with culture vultures and horse fans everywhere.
